The Beginning
of our trip started out with a bit of stress when we arrived at the airport 2 hours early to find a line that literally went from one end of the airport to the other. Apparently water had gotten into something that controlled the computers the night before and Northwest was unable to process boarding passes and luggage.
The seasoned traveler went on the offensive and found the line that would get our bags processed and us on our way to security. To say people were getting testy would have been an understatement. At least security was easy to get through since everyone was stuck in the line.
While we waiting on the plane for those delayed in the line to join us we learned that airport personnel were telling people that they had missed their flights. There was a rumor that there were no flights to Florida until 12/30 since all of them were booked. So our flight being delayed about an hour was only a little inconvenience.
When we finally arrived in Florida it was to sunny skies and warm weather.
There was a little mix up at the hotel when we checked in with our room, but they fixed it after 3 hours and several trips to the check in desk. While the hotel made arrangements to correct the mix up with our room we had lunch at the pool bar and had a couple of cocktails while soaking in the rays. Once we finally tgot o our room we changed into our suits and off to the pool we went. The water was wonderful! Well I thought it was, Skip on the other hand said it was too cold! :-) I was in the pool every evening we were back to the hotel before 11 pm and loved it!

After the swim and a walk around the hotel, we had an early dinner and turned in early, which was probably a good thing since I was wide awake at 3:30 a.m. So we began our day early, was at the first park on our list on Sunday morning early.
